A strong commitment to social impact is a big part of the Cobalt Executives Inc. ethos. We’re always looking for ways to make a positive difference in our community and beyond. With that in mind, we’re fascinated by companies that go out of their way to achieve meaningful impact for people in need. Here are a few of our favorite generous brands.
TOMS is one of the most renowned names built on social impact. The company was founded by Blake Mycoskie during a 2006 trip to Argentina, during which he noticed how many people in the poor areas of the country had to live without shoes. Mycoskie’s vision of donating one pair of shoes for every pair sold didn’t take long to become reality. Since its founding, TOMS has donated more than 60 million pairs of shoes all over the world.
Everlane is another company we’ve been inspired by here at Cobalt Executives Inc. HQ. Greater attention has been paid to where and how our clothes are made over the past couple of decades, and Everlane is committed to ethical manufacturing. Founder Michael Preysman is also dedicated to complete transparency, providing customers with complete breakdowns of how each garment is created as well as how much each element costs.
These companies are committed to doing good business while making a positive impact on the world. Follow Cobalt Executives Inc. on Twitter for more of our insights on socially sound business practices.
